Swimming Pool Dream

I had a funny dream last night. We'd just somehow forgotten that our tiny new house had a gigantic indoor pool and hot tub in a poolhouse, and we stumbled upon it and invited everyone over to celebrate. Matt went out and bought about 15 lifejackets that looked like full superhero costumes for our guests to wear. Not everyone had one, there were three clown costume lifejackets and everyone else just went in wearing their regular clothes. It was a very joyful dream and it was one of those very realistic dreams where for the first couple seconds after you wake up you're still fuzzily thinking, 'Wow, that's awesome that my house has a massive pool! Oh no wait - was that a dream?'

So, this is what the interpretation seems to be (mostly from brilliantdreams.com):

To dream that you find or discover new rooms, suggests that you are developing new strengths and taking on new roles. You may be growing emotionally.
In the dream it wasn't an entirely new discovery, we had just somehow forgotten about it!

A swimming pool indicates that you will enjoy many social gatherings with good friends.

To see a pool of water in your dream, denotes that you will find much happiness and pleasure in love and marriage. Your social life will keep you busy.

If you see females swimming in the pool you will have luck with love, to see males you will have luck in business, and if you see both you will experience both types of luck.
There were both! :-)

Okay, the pool aspect is easy. I have been shamefully neglecting my social life and now I am working to rediscover it. Now it will be full of good friends, love, and business success. Fantastic! :-D

And now is when it gets complicated. Matt gave out lifejacket costumes of superheroes and clowns to our friends, but we didn't put any on. I did really want this one batwoman-looking costume that someone else put on before I could get to it...

To dream that you are wearing a life jacket, symbolizes security and reinforcement. You are in need of some support.

So we are giving support to our friends?

To dream that you are a superhero, indicates your above-average talents, ideas, and abilities you may not realized you possessed.

Do we somehow give our friends above-average ideas or talents?

To see a clown in you dream, symbolizes absurdity, light-heartedness, and a childish side to your own character.

To dream that you are wearing a costume, signifies that you are putting on a facade toward others. Your true self is not being revealed and you are not being completely honest with people around you.

Matt and I weren't wearing costumes, but he provided them. Matt tends to see the good in people, even to a fault, so does that mean he is tricking himself into believing that his friends have above-average talents? I don't particularly like that interpretation. He was handing them out in a joyful way, not as a way of hiding. In the dream it felt more like he was telling our friends he appreciated their talents and wanted to encourage them.

Well, it was a fun dream to have, even if the costume lifejacket bit is a little complicated! I love the fact that I've stumbled upon my "pool" of old friends, and this dream really reflected that.

I am all about the crazy dreams! Sometimes I wake up and think, "what the heck was that all about?" The interpretations usually make sense, though.

I know you are crazy busy but...as summer is fast approaching I am starting to get into my "summer project" mode! ;0) Do you have any suggestions for "how to make a headboard"? I am wanting to make one with fabric and buttons, you know when there are buttons placed all over, kinda looks like puffy and then flat where the buttons are? I know there is an actual TERM to descirbe what I am talking about...too bad I don't know it! I hope I am describing it so you kinda can invision it? :)

The term is "tufted". I found this DIY website that seems to have a pretty good explanation of how to do it. http://www.bejane.com/headboard
The site looks pretty good, I'm bookmarking it. ;-) Be sure to check out the comments below the article, a lot of good info there. Good luck! We're making our own bed soon too, but it'll be a little unusual...

THANK YOU! Justin already has the plans are drawn out now, with help from the website you recommended. You're the best! :0)
Moving yet??

Glad it was helpful! I can't wait to see how it looks - I love the idea!

Still no move date - I'm going batty! Because of our very strange last year (being self-employed and on the move and not paying rent and all that) we have to jump through some really complicated hoops to make it all work, but our mortgage broker is great so it'll all work out. Hopefully it'll come together soon, geez! I had the housewarming party penciled in for June 24th, but now I think it'll be mid-July. Now, I'm taking a poll and I'd like your opinion too - should we do a mellow, kid-friendly Sunday afternoon barbecue or a drunken Saturday night party? I'm a little paranoid about irritating my new neighbors, but if it was just a small Saturday night party... I do have a couple of good friends who can't make it on Saturday. Dani votes I do both, but I think most people would just choose one to go to, then each would be tiny. Can't decide, can't decide...what do you think?

I know how you feel about all the crazy loan-stuff that goes on when buying a home. Since Justin is the sole income in our family we always have to go through tricky routes to qualify for larger loans. Our mortgage officer is my friend Tori's husband, he's super good and always comes through for us! Hang in there, it'll happen! :0)
Mid-July actually works better for us anyway, June is always so chaotic for us (we have a lot of family bdays in June.) We would come to both if you had them both. The kid-frienly one sounds fun, but Justin and I also love to "get-out" and relax, just us-two....so...I dunno! :-) Whatever works best for YOU, it'll be fun no matter what it is!
Let me know....PS
HAPPY BIRTHDAY (tomorrow!) I WILL BE THINKIN OF YA! I HOPE YOUR DAY IS FILLED WITH LOVE, JOY, AND HAPPINESS! XXOO

Thank you, I had a wonderful birthday! We signed escrow papers, I knitted all day in the sun in my bikini, Mom took me out for Chinese food, and then that night I got DRUNK at the casino and the Afrodisiacs told me happy birthday on stage! Relaxing and happy, all day. :-)
